Residential Line Estimator

Get an estimate of the electrical service cost if you are building a new home or remodeling

Estimating costs

A number of factors influence the costs for extending electric service for remodels and new construction.

  1. The distance between where the meter will be on your home and the closest connection to the electric grid.

  2. How power lines are - or likely will be - run from your home to the electric grid.

  3. What type of electric facility (transformer, padmount) you will be connecting to on the electric grid.

Range estimator

What is the distance from the nearest electrical facility to where your meter would be located?

Measure along an accessible path that you suspect the power lines would be constructed.
