PGE Transportation Matching Fund

Partnering with our community to drive electric transportation

PGE offers matching funds for your projects that are partially funded by external grants and opportunities. This funding, made possible by the Oregon DEQ Clean Fuels program , supports EV adoption, charging infrastructure and education across Oregon. Have a project in mind? Get in touch.

How it works

Program specifics

  • Each program year, PGE reserves up to $500,000 for matching external funds.

  • Applicants may receive a maximum of $200,000 a year from PGE matching funds (pending remaining balance).

  • External funds must be used for opportunities that relate to transportation electrification.

  • Funding is allocated on a rolling basis and is open year-round.

Eligibility

Matching funds applicants should be one of the following:

  • Community-based organization

  • Nonprofit

  • Public body (public agency/ municipality)

  • Educational institution

  • Partnership between a private entity with any of the above mentioned organizations

The majority of charging infrastructure must be within PGE’s service territory OR the majority of project benefits must be to PGE residential customers.

Evaluation criteria

PGE will use the following criteria to evaluate eligibility for fund matching opportunities.

  • Will the proposed project support electrifying Oregon’s transportation sector?

  • Will the proposed project benefit residential customers?

  • Will the proposed project benefit traditionally underserved communities?

  • Is the proposed project eligible for external funding?
