Pelton Round Butte Fund

2021 Special Funding Cycle

A special funding cycle for the Pelton Round Butte Fund is now accepting applications from February 1, 2021 through March 31, 2021. Funds will be dedicated to projects benefitting salmon and steelhead reintroduction in the Crooked River.

The Pelton Round Butte Fund was set up to protect and enhance habitat for Deschutes River fish.

In partnership with the Tribes, we’ve supported 57 projects throughout the Deschutes Basin PGE.

Over the span of 15 years, we’ve invested $26.5 million in projects such as removing fish passage barriers, stabilizing stream banks, restoring channels and floodplains and conserving water.

“We have an obligation to do everything in our power to bring these fish runs back. It’s important to the ecological function of this place. It’s important to the native peoples. And frankly, it’s going to be important to the future generations here in Central Oregon.”
– Brad Chalfant, Deschutes Land Trust – Executive Director
