To better assist residential customers in their electrification transition, Portland General Electric (PGE) is announcing the launch of PGE+, a new all-in-one solution designed to streamline the process of choosing, purchasing, and installing electrical equipment and home appliances. Starting with the rollout of faster level 2 EV chargers, PGE is set to expand its platform’s offerings to include heat pump systems in the coming year.
The launch of PGE+ is an important step in the company’s decarbonization targets, helping to simplify the electrification process for customers and encouraging participation in PGE energy shifting programs that contribute to a stronger, more flexible energy grid.
"We know every customer has different goals – whether it's saving money, fully adopting clean energy, or wanting to learn more about different electrification options. With PGE+, we are providing user-friendly guidance to ensure customers can make well-informed decisions that align with their unique goals,” said Dain Nestel, PGE Director Customer Solutions.
How PGE+ works:
PGE+ is available in English and Spanish and provides easy access and Featured products are compatible with PGE’s Residential Programs, such as Smart Charging and Time of Day Savings. These programs enable customers to qualify for specific discounts and incentives for additional bill savings.
The platform also provides information about enrollment in PGE’s Income- Qualified Bill Discount, which can provide meaningful reduction in bills for -qualified customers.
PGE will introduce PGE+ to customers at the 2024 Oregon International Auto Show from Feb. 22-25.
