When neighborhoods compete, the environment wins

Something exciting has been going on in the PGE Smart Grid Test Bed neighborhoods — a little competition to see who can reduce the most greenhouse gas emissions. At the end of the summer season, residents of the Smart Grid Test Bed neighborhood with the highest percentage of Peak Time Rebates participation will get entered in a sweepstakes for Amazon gift cards.

Plus, we’ve partnered with Friends of Trees to make a donation valued at $5,000 to the winning neighborhood. The competition has been heating up this past month and as it stands right now, it’s too close to call. But no matter who wins, we all win with lower emissions and energy prices.
