PGE plans and prepares year-round for inclement and extreme weather conditions of all kinds, including wildfire risks, to make our system more resilient. Our wildfire safety plan is rooted in protecting people, property and natural environments. Regardless of the season or time of year, everyone has a part to play when it comes to readiness.

Overhead to Underground Conversion

Line crews de-commission and remove overhead distribution power lines in preparation to run power lines underground near Cherry Grove, Ore. Wildfire Mitigation Upgrades

PGE crews conduct power line inspections and preventive maintenance on PGE equipment in the Mt. Hood National Forest near Zigzag, Ore. PGE works year-round across the service area to reduce the risk and impact of wildfires.
