We all depend on safe, reliable energy. Now more than ever. That’s why we’re working in your neighborhood to make a few improvements to our electrical equipment. (The big trucks are hard to miss.) Currently, we’re replacing aging underground power lines throughout Southwest Gresham. This will reduce the risk of outages in your area and help us keep up with growth. When our work is done, your energy will be safer and more reliable and take us one step closer to Oregon’s clean energy future. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Map and schedule
Construction schedule Mid-April through end of July 2021 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday This schedule may change based on the needs of the project. Weekend and night hours may be required at times.
What to expect
You’ll see our crews working in the areas highlighted on the map. We’ll do our best to keep this disruption minimal, but you may hear some construction noise and experience a little more dirt on the sidewalks and streets than usual. We promise we’ll work to get things back to normal as quickly and as safely as possible.
To install the new lines, we will be drilling and digging trenches. At times, we may need to park equipment on the street overnight. You may notice us working in multiple areas (shown in the map) at the same time. After construction is complete, streets and sidewalks in our work areas will be restored.
There’s nothing as important as your safety. To keep pedestrians, cyclists and drivers safe, we will close lanes and reserve street parking. This will help make room for equipment and create a safety buffer between you and our crews.
Watch for temporary lane or street closures and detours.
Allow for extra time for commuting through these areas.
Follow directions from any flaggers, detours and signs.
Watch for “no parking” signs.
Avoid all work areas and equipment.
Make sure children know to never touch construction equipment.
Making our equipment safer and more reliable is an investment in a cleaner energy future for Oregon.
