Parks and Re-creation: Photo Contest

Recreate a historic moment at one of our PGE Parks and Campgrounds and win a free stay in 2026!

PGE campers and park goers have the chance to win a free stay at a PGE campground by recreating one of three photos taken in the 1950’s. This summer we’re traveling back in time to celebrate PGE’s 75-year history of preserving and protecting Oregon’s natural resources.

How it works

Just checkout the rules and follow the steps below, it's that easy! Three winners will receive a gift certificate to two consecutive nights of standard, non-electric camping at PGE’s Promontory Park in Estacada, Oregon or Pelton Park in Madras, Oregon to used for the 2026 camping season. Certificates expire on 9/26/26 and are not redeemable for cash.

  • Photos must be taken at a PGE park or campground. Photos may be taken at any PGE park or campground, regardless of the original photo’s location.

  • Photo submissions must be an original photo.

  • AI-generated images, drawings, illustrations, etc. will not be accepted.

  • Noticeably edited photos (filters, added text, superimposed elements, etc.) will not be accepted.

  • Photo must be taken by or include the person submitting the photo.

  • One submission allowed per person or group.

  • Participants must choose one historical photo to recreate.

  • The photo submitted must not be derogatory, offensive, threatening, defamatory, disparaging, libelous or contain any content that is inappropriate, indecent, sexual, profane, tortious, slanderous, discriminatory in any way or that promotes hatred or harm against any group or person, or otherwise does not comply with the theme and spirit of the Contest.

  • The photo submitted must not contain material that violates, misappropriates or infringes upon any law or regulation or the rights of any third party including, but not limited to, any copyright, trademark or any rights of publicity or privacy, or any other intellectual property or proprietary rights.

  • By entering the Contest, participants warrant and represent that they are the owners of the photo submitted and have obtained all permissions necessary for PGE to display, post, publish or use the photo submitted as set forth in these Official Rules and in promotional materials relating thereto including, but not limited to, permission from all persons depicted in the photo submitted and from any owner of property, copyrights, trademarks or other rights in materials or other items depicted in the photo submitted.

Step 2: Snap your photo

Plan a visit to any PGE park or campground with family and friends, recreate your photo and take a picture. Creativity is welcomed! Photo recreations can be taken at any PGE park or campground.

Step 3: Submit your photo

If you have trouble submitting your photo below, you can email it to ParksRe-creation@pgn.com instead. Be sure to include your name, phone number and the park or campground where your photo was taken.
