As we work toward Oregon’s clean energy future, we’re strengthening the energy grid to make it smarter, more efficient and more reliable for you. Our efforts include a multiyear reliability project that will upgrade transmission towers between Gresham and Estacada. The first step of the project is to begin inspecting our equipment along the Springwater Corridor and Cazadero trails and will include the trimming or removal of shrubs, blackberries and other vegetation surrounding our towers. This work is in preparation for more system upgrades to take place in 2021.
You’ll see our crews working in the areas highlighted on the map.
September to December 2020
Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., unless permits dictate otherwise.
We do not expect any planned power outages, but if that changes, we’ll send out letters and leave a notice on your door at least 48 hours before.
Safety for you and our team is always our priority. To keep pedestrians and cyclists safe, there will be some minor detours that will help make room for equipment and create a safety buffer around our work area.
Keep an eye out for detour signs and follow directions to keep yourself and our teams safe in work areas
Allow for extra time for commuting through these areas
Follow directions from any flaggers, detours and signs
Avoid all work areas and equipment
Make sure children know to never touch construction equipment
Once complete, this project will strengthen the energy grid to make it smarter, while keeping energy affordable for you and your neighbors as your area expands and grows.
Thank you for your patience as we strengthen the energy grid.
