Community

For more than a century, PGE has been investing in programs and events that reflect our customers’ values, our employees’ community interests, and the needs of the communities we serve.

Community Initiatives

We’re committed to engaging our community in learning about climate change science, exploring clean energy, and making a positive impact on the planet through volunteerism and internship programs.

PGE Project Zero

Our commitment to engaging our community in learning about climate change science, exploring clean energy and other solutions, and making a positive impact on the planet through volunteerism and internship programs.

Classroom Support

Free programs for schools like safety education, curriculum materials, live performances and energy education websites.

Employee contributions

PGE employees and retirees are generous with their time and money. They record more than 45,000 volunteer hours annually, making them one of the most industrious corporate volunteer teams in Oregon.

To recognize their volunteer efforts, PGE awards employee grants to schools and nonprofits where our employees and retirees volunteer. PGE employees also contribute through PGE’s Employee Giving Campaign at a rate well above the national average. In 2018, the contributions of PGE employees combined with a 100 percent company match totaled more than $2 million.

PGE Community Spirit Award Nominations

This award honors the community spirit of PGE employees who volunteer, give back, play an active role in their community or support our goal of being a leading corporate citizen.
