You can get money back for making your home more energy efficient.
We recognize that energy is a big part of your budget, and we want to do all we can to help you control your energy costs by providing information on incentives and tax credits.
Energy Trust of Oregon incentives
Financial incentives for energy efficiency are administered by the Energy Trust of Oregon, which is funded by the 3 percent charge on your electric bill. Learn what incentives are available and how to apply in our section on Energy Trust of Oregon incentives.
Oregon tax credits
You may qualify for an Oregon tax credit on your personal income tax when you purchase energy-efficient appliances, heat pumps, water heaters, or heating and air conditioning systems.
Federal tax credits
If you install qualified energy-efficient products, such as high-efficiency windows, heat pumps, insulation, doors, roofs and heating and cooling equipment, you may be eligible for a federal tax credit of up to $500.
