PGE/SOLVE Starlight Parade — June 2
See PGE’s “Safety Rocks” float light up the night as it winds through downtown Portland with the PGE/SOLVE Starlight Parade, Saturday, June 2. This year, our float will feature Pedro, the star of PGE’s newest electrical safety school presentation, “Pedro’s Path to Power,” which teaches kids about the importance of electrical safety. Joining Pedro will be three third grade students who won PGE’s “Color Me Safe” Contest. Learn more about the contest and the winners.

Don’t forget to wave to the dozens of PGE volunteers who will be passing out SOLVE garbage bags along the parade route. Each year we help to keep the PGE/SOLVE Starlight Parade one of the cleanest and greenest parades in America. Right after the last parade entry, you’ll see us again helping pick up trash before our friends from City of Portland come through to wash the streets.

And once again, PGE is helping make this year’s PGE/SOLVE Starlight Parade carbon neutral by purchasing carbon offsets for all the parade entries, garbage trucks and street sweepers.
