PGE employees are the foundation — and the heart — of our community involvement.

They extend and enrich PGE’s corporate donations by giving of themselves, their time and their talents to help build a stronger community.

Volunteerism is a big part of the company culture at PGE. Each year, hundreds of PGE employees, retirees and their families spend hours of their own time volunteering with schools and nonprofit organizations, and mentoring youth.

In 2007, PGE volunteers contributed more than 76,000 hours in the communities where they live and work.

These PGE volunteers back up their hands-on efforts with financial contributions. Our Employee Giving Campaign raises more than $1 million for schools and other worthy causes in Oregon each year. In addition, volunteers can apply for Employee Volunteer Grants that directly benefit the organizations, teams or schools they support.
